Collegio Boccarini (13th or 14th century)

This complex, which is entered via a lovely cloister(16th century), originally formed part of the convent of San Francesco. In 1410, it was ceded to the papal governor. It is next heard of after the unification of Italy in the 19th century, when it was used as a college (named for the Boccarini family of Amelia).
It now houses the city archive and library, the excellent Museo Archeologico and the small Pinacoteca.
